阿添是個(gè)運(yùn)送郵件的飛行員,二戰(zhàn)時(shí)參加了英國(guó)皇家空軍,他與上司貝克同時(shí)愛(ài)上了在夜總會(huì)唱歌的女孩莎。兩個(gè)情敵同駕一架戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)，當(dāng)他們迫降到海灘被德軍俘虜時(shí)，二個(gè)人共同想辦法逃出德軍陣地；阿添為掩護(hù)貝克受傷，但未及時(shí)回來(lái)赴約的阿添被女友誤會(huì)，而導(dǎo)致分手，女友投入貝克的懷抱，但當(dāng)阿添因參加飛行戰(zhàn)斗生死不明時(shí)，女友莎不顧一切跑到碼頭，他看到阿添出現(xiàn)在人群中，沖上去與阿添深深吻到一起，貝克摸摸默默地離開他們這對(duì)烽火中的情侶。
